Single Family Rebates

The 2004 Single Family Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs have been approved and are being offered from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004, while funding is available. Rebate applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to qualify, products must be purchased on or after January 1, 2004, installed, and applications postmarked by December 31, 2004.

Applications are currently in production but will be available soon. In the meantime, please call our Smarter Energy Line at 1 (800) 933-9555 to be included on the application wait list and to get more information on the specifications for qualifying products.

The following is a list of products eligible for a rebate and the rebate amounts:

• Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling $35 (Not yet available)

Home Improvements

• Attic and Wall Insulation $0.15/sq ft
• Efficient Gas and Electric Storage Water Heaters $40

Multifamily Property Management

The 2004 Multifamily Energy Efficiency Rebate Program has been approved and is being offered from January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004, while funding is available. In order to qualify, products must be purchased on or after January 1, 2004, installed, and applications postmarked by January 31, 2005.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company's Multifamily Program is for property owners and managers of existing residential dwellings that contain five or more units. The program encourages the installation of qualifying energy efficient products in individual tenant units and for common areas of residential apartments, mobile home parks and condominium complexes.

Rebates are available for Apartments, Common Area, and Mechanical Improvements, as well as High Efficiency Cooling and Heating Products. Please call our Smarter Energy Line at 1 (800) 933-9555 to get more information on the specifications for qualifying products and to be included on the applications wait list, since our applications are currently in production.

Rebate applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis with the exception of CERTAIN MEASURES THAT REQUIRE RESERVATIONS. Some products may require installation by an appropriate licensed contractor.
