MWSD purchases Pillar Ridge water system

Montara Water and Sanitary District has purchased the water production system of Pillar Ridge Manufactured Home Community per an agreement with its owner, Coach of San Diego Inc.
The merger comes three years after MWSD picked up negotiations with the Pillar Ridge property owner, said General Manager Clemens Heldmaier. While Coach of San Diego Inc., will still maintain ownership of Pillar Ridge, the water district purchased its three wells, water treatment plant and two storage tanks for a symbolic $1 purchase price, according to a Jan. 7 prepared statement. The deal took effect on Jan. 1.
